Facebook Woes - New Contact Info

Several days ago, I noticed that my Facebook profile was linked to an old Verizon email address. Verizon no longer offers email service. When I tried to modify my Facebook account and link to a current email address, I was locked out. I tried using the "call three close friend" feature, but it took two days to get three friends to log in to Facebook and get the special codes I needed to plug into the Facebook screen. When I finally, put the codes in, it blocked me completely. No matter what I tried - for days I tried - I could not get back in.
