Beltsville Small White Hatching Eggs

UPDATE January 22, 2021: Eggs were candled and all were clear except one that was only slightly developed. The clear eggs were discarded. The under developed one went back into the incubator. We will try again later in the breeding season. ___________

Five, Beltsville Small White Turkey hatching eggs arrived yesterday morning from Terri Pike of 4 Ewe Farm in Maine. They were allowed to rest for a day and into the incubator they went.

It is very unusual for turkeys to be laying in January. We will have to wait and see if these eggs are fertile. Our fingers are crossed.

Thank you, Terri Pike, for the superbly- packed eggs!!!
